The Roman Ride
Transforming Cities Conference ‘Roman Ride’ will provide a fascinating insight of the historic roads that have left their mark on modern Leicester. Follow people-friendly streets and cycle tracks in the company of ‘Hidden Histories’ Jim Butler.
The tour starts at the Town Hall Bike Park and includes rides along some of the 2,000 year old byways, the site of the Roman Forum and the UK’s largest piece of free-standing Roman Masonry.
Street Art Tour
Join our Transforming Cities Conference ‘Street Art Tour’ along people-friendly streets and cycle tracks of Leicester.
Starting at the Town Hall we will take in some of the iconic pieces of artwork from the ‘Bring the Paint’ International Street-Art Festival, including Europe’s tallest piece of public art.
Experienced Ride Leaders will share insights into the artists and their work as well as a fun overview of the growing network of people-friendly infrastructure supporting active travel in Leicester.

Delegates arriving on the 21st March are welcome to join members of Leicester City Council's active travel team and Landor LINKS for networking and nibbles from 18.00 upstairs at Peter’s Pizzeria, 9 Welford Place, Leicester LE1 6ZH
